Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Green Grass

Photo 90

On my walk today I found one of the few tufts of green grass that haven't changed with the season.  Seeing it reminds me of the saying, "The grass is always greener on the other side!".  The funny thing is this tuft of green grass was on my side of the fence!

This reminded me of our own powers of creation.  We are all only human and cannot help but compare ourselves to others.  We just have to remember that a lot of times we are only seeing the cover -- the title page.  Until we delve into their story what do we really know?   We have the power to change ourselves.  If we think that we have brown grass on our side of the fence then we need to create our own green grass!  We need to be grateful for what we do have, not the fleeting things in life but the steadfast.  And if we don't have it . . .  go get it!!!
