Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Solitude

I don’t know what it is about black and white images but I am really drawn to them. They seem rich with meaning and history, they invite you to observe and contemplate. Many of the old buildings seems to beg to be photographed in black in white. Maybe this helps to justify their existence or to honor them as keepers of our landscape’s history. They just seem more powerful in black and white. This little gem is just a few doors down from me and everytime I drive by it I am drawn to it’s mystery. Who lived there? What were they like?

Under the Bridge

There are so many photographic opportunities around us, every single day.  So many of them we take for granted, not wanting to take the time or recognizing the opportunity before us.  Today I finally took the time and instead of driving over the bridge like usual, I drove under it making sure to bring my camera along!

Enjoy!
